Thoughts: "Do you feel loved?"

A dear friend asked me: "Do you feel loved? What does it feel like?"

Note: This is the gist of the original text.
I answered: Yes, I feel loved. I feel and receive familial and amicable love. Three components of love that apply to all relationships are mutual joy, acceptance, and support.

A common example of joy is sharing memes. Everyone shares memes and laughs, but when a person of close relation, a family member or friend, shares with you a laugh over memes, it's intimate and wholesome. Accepting another flawed being the way you wish to accept yourself is rewarding. Respect for one another grows as does vulnerability, which makes room for support, both emotional and physical.

In order for love to thrive and be felt, there must be a balance between smiles, tears, melancholy, and joy.
